As part of a self initiative to produce more work, I applied and was accepted in several group zines during the summer of 2018. While juggling all these projects, it was an interesting experience seeing the dynamics of various subcultures of fans who support the works that they love while also creating new work that add to their communities and the general fandom.
A series of watercolor work that was used in a Summer Art Exchange. The concept was to create artwork using the supplies mailed to you by another person in the exchange, and send some supplies in return.
I was given a Winsor and Newton watercolor set and used Fabriano WC cards to create my work. In turn, I sent a few inking supplies along with a booklet covering the basic how-to's of using a dip nib. A PDF download of the booklet is available here.
